Yes — Ledger Live itself is free to download and use. There may be network fees for blockchain transactions and optional third-party service fees for certain integrations.

Private keys never leave your Ledger device. Transactions must be approved physically on the hardware device. Keep your recovery phrase safe — Ledger cannot recover it for you.

Ledger Live can be installed and explored without a device, but to hold and sign transactions you need a Ledger hardware wallet (e.g. Ledger Nano S Plus, Ledger Nano X).

If you lose your device, use your 24-word recovery phrase on a new Ledger device (or compatible wallet) to restore access. Never share your recovery phrase — anyone with it can control your funds.
